First opening in 2001, Wall Street has quickly established itself as one of the premier meeting venues for expats and visiting business travellers who wish to network and relive a taste of ‘home’ in the midst of the Bangkok metropolis.

With a distinct Southern Hemisphere rugby following, with a taste of the Sub-Continent during the cricket season and a drop of Europe during the FA Premier League and European/World Cups, Rick O’Shea, (red headed Kiwi of Irish descent), publican extraordinaire and sports fanatic, manages a meeting place where through ‘meaningful and unbiased’ discussion amongst punters, world issues can be solved, sports tactics can be developed for team managers worldwide and referees can be advised of their performance in no uncertain terms.

General operating hours are 4pm – 1 am, however when major televised sporting events are outside these hours, be it Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, Motorsport, Aussie Rules, Golf etc, appropriate operating hours are open to ensure live viewing. Wall Street provides extra live sports coverage of events with English commentary, often not provided by the local cable operator.

Wall Street is a major sponsor of & the clubhouse for the (in)famous Old Bangkok Bangers Rugby Club, Thailand’s only team at the Golden Oldies Rugby Festival in Brisbane 2003, as well as the Vintage Rugby tournament in Limerick Ireland, September 2004. It is advisable to join the Bangers club (1000 baht per year) to obtain discounted drink prices (after 9pm) and freebies on the big game occasions.

Its friendly atmosphere, attentive staff, ice cold beer and great food prepared on major sporting occasions by our resident pool shark, Aussie Rules fanatic and culinary expert “Geoff the chef”, make Wall Street the place to be, when the big games are on.
